Program Manager

Heartline is an agency in who helps people in short term crisis situations with rent, utilities, food, diapers, and referrals.  Heart House is a shelter for women and chidlren who are homeless or victims of domestic violence.  The Heartline Program is searching for someone to take over the program.  Training begins early July and goes through mid August.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willing and able to obtain certifications/training pertinent to position.
  • Willing and able to travel (very limited)
  • Self-motivated
  • People Skills
  • Valid driver’s license

  • 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Few evenings/Saturdays required for special events.

SPECIFIC DUTIES (include, but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for daily supervision of activities and operations of Heartline services, maintain paper pantry, greet, and receive clients, volunteers, and the community.
  • Development and implementation of necessary Heartline programs to meet specific and on-going needs of clients and Heart House residents within the parameters of the Heartline mission.
  • Provide program management and process all client inquires and applications for assistance according to the parameters established by the organization; make appropriate referrals to outside resources when necessary; holding each client accountable for completion of paperwork, obligations, etc.
  • Maintain confidential, complete, accurate and up-to-date client records and database(s); working in close relationship with other organizations to ensure no duplicated services are provided.
  • Diligently fulfill requirements of funders regarding restricted monies allotted, keeping up to date on all funder regulations and guidelines, maintaining supporting verification on all transactions regarding your area of the program.
  • Oversee, coordinate, and execute all Heartline Classes and Programs; continually identifying community needs and locate appropriate facilitators; maintain client/resident involvement. 
  • Serve as liaison between Heartline & local service agencies; building strong alliances; continually identifying/evaluating services available; being proactive in seeking out new alliances.  Maintain resource database; ensuring resource referrals are always up to date.
  • Administer benevolence funds and follow through with providing quarterly reports to participating churches.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and coordinate volunteers/community service workers.
  • Plan and coordinate all parts of Operation Backpack in July and Tree of Hearts in December.
  • Assist with fundraisers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
